BancoEstado carried out a successful placement of bank bonds
The placement operation corresponds to Series K6 bank bonds for U.F. 2 million, equivalent to US$ 95 million.
This instrument, which has a remaining term of 30 years and a duration of 19.4 years, obtained a placement rate of 2.81%, which gave the instrument a risk-free spread of 70 basis points, once again showing the degree of confidence that institutional investors have in the bank; which saw levels of demand that were 3.5 times in excess of the issue.
BancoEstado informed that the main objective of this placement is to attract long term resources for the development of Chileans, thus reaffirming its role as a public institution that encourages financial inclusion and access to credit.
The bonds placed have AAA risk classification (ICR) and AAA risk classification (Fitch), and pay half-yearly interest, with a single block capital amortisation on their maturity date.
The operation was done through the Santiago Stock Exchange in the Dutch Auction mode, through the BancoEstado S.A. Corredores de Bolsa placement agents.
