Government appoints new members to the Board of Directors of BancoEstado
Economist Pablo Correa takes office as Vice Chairman. In the meantime, Edmundo Eluchans, Iris Boeninger, Paola Assael and Roberto Palumbo will serve as directors.
The President of the Republic, Mr. Sebastián Piñera, through the Ministry of Finance, appointed the new members of the Board of Directors of BancoEstado for the period 2018-2022. Mr. Arturo Tagle Quiroz, who took office on March 20, serves as Chairman while Ms. Edith Signé, serves as Labor Director, a position renewed every two years by vote of the workers.
The newly appointed members of the Board of Directors are:
Pablo Correa González
Mr. Correa holds a BA in Business Administration and Master of Arts in Economics from Pontificia Universidad de Católica de Chile and Master of Liberal Arts from the School of Government of Harvard University. He held the posts of Chief Economist at Banco Santander, Coordinator of Capital Markets Advisor to the Ministry of Finance and Director of Essbio.
Edmundo Eluchans Urenda
Attorney at law graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Between 2006 and 2014, he served as Representative for Districts 14 and 15 of the Valparaíso Region at Congress. Besides, he was President of the House of Representatives in 2013 and 2014.
Iris Boeninger Von Kretschmann
She holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. She was Head of the Department of Economy in ProChile at the Embassy of Chile in Argentina, in charge of economic and commercial matters between both countries. She held a chair at the board of Enel Distribución Chile.
Paola Assael Montaldo
She holds a BA in Business Administration degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. She was a partner at E&Y Consultants in charge of the Costumer Knowledge area. Earlier to that, she was Manager of Competitive Intelligence at CMR Falabella and founding partner of the market research company Voces Research. Prior to this job, she was a partner in the consulting firm Black & White.
Roberto Palumbo Ossa
Attorney at law graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He was Vice Chairman of BancoEstado in 2010 and served as Chief Executive Officer at Impresora Ograma, Director of Banco Concepción and Edelnor, Chief Executive Officer at Santa Raquel Construction Company, Vice Chairman of the Printing Association, Advisor to Sofofa and board member of the National Horse Racing.
