BancoEstado announces changes at the senior management level

Changes will become effective starting June 1st seeking to continue making progress on the objectives set forth by the financial institution.

BancoEstado announced a number of changes whose objective is to continue moving forward on deepening the financial inclusion and the link with all our customers while exploring new ways to contribute to the social and economic development of our country.

To this end, the Executive Committee of BancoEstado has resolved to make the changes indicated below in the bank's senior management structure, which will become effective as of June 1.

Branch Management Division: This management office will add to its business challenges -in addition to service the retail segment – the attention of small businesses and the commercial coordination with the microenterprise area, in order to enhance servicing our customers in all our branches. Mr. Marcelo Hiriart Vergara will assume as Head and Mr. Antonio Bertrand Hermosilla leaves the institution.

Marketing and Quality Management Division: This management office will assume the definition and implementation of products and commercial strategies for the retail, business and small businesses segments. This office should promote the use of business intelligence tools and support the commercial work of our executives in branches. The current teams of Retail Banking, Quality Management and the Advertising Office will be part of it. Mr. Leopoldo Quintano Hartard takes on the position as Head of the Marketing and Quality Division while Mrs. María Cecilia Vergara Fisher leaves the institution.

Communications and Sustainability Department: This new management office is composed by the current Corporate Identity - with the exception of the Advertising Office - and the Sustainable Development Office. Among other matters, this new management office will strengthen the Bank's internal and external communications and support the initiatives related to inclusion and financial education. Mr. Jonas Preller Roldan takes on the Communications and Sustainability Management Department while Mr. Michel Moure Casabianca leaves the institution.

Financial Management Division: This management division retains its current responsibilities. Mr. Julio Guzmán Herrera takes on as Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Carlos Martabit Scaff leaves the institution. Mr. Carlos Martabit will continue supporting the boards of our subsidiary companies. 

​​​​​​​Operations and Systems Management Division: The Transformation Project becomes part of the Operations and Systems Management Division, maintaining a matrix dependency with the Chief Executive Officer’s Office in order to support the strategic priorities and improve coordination on initiatives regarding systems' innovation, renewal and maintenance. Mr. Luis Alberto Soto Illanes leaves the bank.
